Attempt Burglary Near You- Southmere Oval

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Southmere Oval this occurred on Thursday 21st May at approx. 2220hrs  Unknown suspects have attended at the address and have been kicking at the door leaving footprints, they have caused damage to the inner panel and broken the lock, They have also pulled off an assistance bar from the wall. Thankfully no entry has occurred.  

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Thursday 21st May 2200hrs -2230hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
